Arriving in January allowed Krug the opportunity to get in sync with her teammates and it showed as she finished the season tied for 11th in the nation with an average of 13.36 assists per game. Shannon finished the season with 1189 assists to move into 10th place all-time for the Tigers. Krug topped 60 assists in four matches during the 2007 season, led a season-high of 63 assists in the Tigers' 3-2 win over Oregon State on Sept. 15 as Pacific claimed the Asics Invitational Championship.<b>2006 (Sophomore @ Utah):</b><br>In her second season at Utah, Krug appeared in 21 matches, including two starts. She played in 38 games averaging 9.82 assists, 1.53 digs and 0.58 blocks per game. Shannon's best match of the season came on Nov. 9 as she tallied a season-high 44 assists at Wyoming in the Utes' 3-1 victory. Krug also notched 30 assists against No. 14 USC in a 3-1 loss on Sept. 2.<b>2005 (Freshman @ Utah):</b><br>Shannon started in all 32 matches and appeared in 121 games in her freshman season at Utah. Krug averaged 0.56 kills, 11.76 assists, 1.94 digs and 0.74 blocks per game and led the Mountain West Conference with 1,423 assists. That mark was also the second-best single-season mark at Utah. Shannon collected six double-doubles during the 2005 season, including career highs with 75 assists and 19 digs in the Utes' 3-2 win over UNLV on Nov. 18. Two of Krug's double dips came against Wyoming as she delivered 49 assists and 11 digs at Wyoming in a 3-1 win on Oct. 7. Just over one month later, Shannon posted 52 assists and 11 digs in another 3-1 victory over Wyoming on Nov. 11. Krug, however, shined even brighter against ranked opponents as she recorded 64 assists in a 3-2 upset victory over No. 17 Santa Clara on Sept. 17. Krug showed her versatility in the Utes' 3-0 upset of No. 12 BYU on Nov. 4 as she notched a career-high six kills. On the season, Krug turned in nine matches with 50 or more assists and three with 60-plus assists.<b>High School/Club:</b><br>A four-year starter at Doherty HS, Krug graduated in 2005. She was a two-time Colorado First Team All-State representative as well as a two-time member of the All-Colorado team and her all-area squad. Shannon was named Player of the Year as a senior and led Doherty HS to the state title in 2003 as a junior. Krug fell just short in 2002 and 2004 as Doherty finished second in the state championship in each season. A four-time academic letter winner, Krug graduated with a 3.95 cumulative grade-point average. At the club level, Krug played for the Colorado Juniors and was selected as an all-region representative for five consecutive seasons. Entering college, Shannon was considered one of the top 50 prospects in the nation.<b>Personal:</b><br>Shannon Krug is the daughter of Denise and Carl Krug. In her second year at Pacific, Shannon is majoring in sociology.
